Staying in...

It's raining in London, again. I honestly think the one week of sunshine we had three weeks ago was actually "The Summer". I was warned before being dragged onto that plane over here back in April, but come on...I didn't think anyone was serious!

So I'm longing for the warmth and sunshine of Santorini, and wondering how I can maintain the colour gained from that holiday - it ain't gonna last until I get back to the Australian sunshine in December, that I can be sure of.

But the weather in London is what it is, isn't it, so I'm just going to have to suck it up and get on with it.

London cupcakes...

There's just something about cupcakes that brings out the girly girl in me. Perhaps the sight of them transports me back to childhood birthday parties, where pretty pastel party dresses were teamed with wooly cardigans, pigtails and polka dot hairclips. Where, with balloons and streamers in hand, we'd rush to the cake table to get a closer look at the sugary treats, which were about to face an invasion of little hands grabbing at their favourite frosted colours and designs.

I'm glad they're back with a vengeance, readily available to purchase at market stalls, bakeries, department stores and supermarkets.

Sweet. Colourful. Moist. Delicious. Irresistible. I love cupcakes. Yum!
