And the Number 1 Greatest Movie of all time is..........

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope - 1977; Director: George Lucas

Surprised??

I'm not a Star Wars fan so I wouldn't have picked it.

My pick would have been between The Bourne Identity; The Bourne Supremacy; The Departed; Catch Me If You Can; The Notebook (THE most romantic movie, EVER).

What? Not Titanic? Oh, the horror!!!

I saw the original Star Wars as a kid but couldn't remember much about the story. I was more impressed with the images. :-)

In 2006 my fave would have to be Volver, by Pedro Almodovar. It was beautifully shot, with exciting plot, plenty of humour, charming personalities. Not once did I think 'Here i am, sitting in a cinema watching a movie', which i otherwise do, most of the times I see something.

Penelope Cruz was resplendent, and the rest of the cast was superb.

There is a highly memorable scene with some pieces of kitchen towel. (I won't spoil it for you...)

Hey Bel, how are you lovin' Sart's tour of Germany?

Mmmm... well I wouldn't have picked that either (mostly since I haven't seen it - not a fan of the genre at all). My choice would be Amelie.

Thanks for visiting Cape Town Daily Photo - hope you keep enjoying it!

Ming - Thank goodness it's NOT Titanic!

Nameless - I haven't yet seen Volver, but have only heard good things about it. Will have to add it to my must see list!

Belinda, thanks for the kind words and defending me. :-)

I honestly think he did that to provoke people to respond to him

So no one's going with Deuce Bigelow: European Gigolo, then?

That's probably for the best.
